Ždrelac, isola di Pašman

Ždrelac is located at the place where the island of Pašman and the neighboring island of Ugljan are connected by a bridge. The old town is adorned with harmonious stone houses, while along the coast you will find plenty of villas, houses and modern apartments that offer comfortable and affordable accommodation. In the center of Ždrelac is the 13th–century parish Church of St. Luke that houses valuable paintings with religious motifs. The locals here especially worship Our Lady of Lourdes when they carry the statue of Our Lady in a procession. Worth mentioning is the fact that it is the women who wear the statue of Our Lady during the procession. Along the main road, you can see the chapel of St. Anthony of Padua, where the locals, worshiping the saint, traditionally gather in front of the church in traditional costumes. There are several beautiful beaches in Ždrelac. The sandy beach Matlovac is perfect for families with children and features changing cabins, a shower and a volleyball court in its vicinity. If you are looking for more peace and tranquility, check out the well-maintained beach of Soline that is perfect for long summer days. The quiet bay Polača hides a beautiful beach with natural shade. Recreational cyclists can tour the entire island by bike, discover hidden coves and beaches, enjoy majestic panoramic views from nearby lookouts and peek into the caves of Pašman. A special experience is certainly cruising through the Kornati National Park, diving along the coast of the Kornati islands and discovering the hidden bays of the Kornati archipelago.
