Kampor, Insel Rab

Near the town of Rab lies the picturesque fishing village of Kampor on the west coast of the island. It is particularly charming due to its location within the lush vegetation of the forest reserve "Dundo". The reserve attracts visitors with its many hiking, biking and educational trails, while the coast is indented with numerous pebble and sandy beaches and secluded coves that guarantee privacy and peace. If you visit Kampor, take a look at the Franciscan monastery of St. Euphemia, who is also the patron saint of the village. The monastery houses an ethnographic museum with a collection of old Croatian manuscripts that have been collected for years by diligent Franciscan monks. There are several beautiful beaches in Kampor, but beach Mel is certainly the most popular one due to its particularly fine sand and the various facilities that are available at the beach. Beach Mel is therefore ideal for families with children. Fans of sports and active holidays can enjoy beach volleyball, hiking, cycling, fishing, diving, sailing and many other activities.

Kampor is not only known for its beautiful landscape, but also for its gastronomic offer that abounds in fresh fish, homemade olive oil and wine and should not be missed while vacationing here. Kampor has a wide range of accommodation in family houses, holiday homes and apartments by the sea. Visit this captivating place and discover why its faithful guests return every year.
