Island Pašman, Zadar archipelago

Pašman is one of the many islands in the Zadar archipelago and located right next to the island of Ugljan. The island of Pašman and the island of Ugljan are connected by a bridge over the strait Ždrelac. If you want to spend your vacation in an oasis of untouched nature with the scents of aromatic Mediterranean plants or laze on beautiful sandy and pebble beaches with crystal clear sea, then you are in the right place.

The sea around Pašman is known for changing the direction of sea currents every six hours, which means that the sea is extremely clean and actually considered to be one of the cleanest in the Adriatic Sea. Comfortable and quality accommodation is available in family houses, apartments and villas with swimming pools. The main island road connects the island of Ugljan and the most developed settlement of Pašman named Tkon on the south side of the island. Small side roads and paths leading to bays, hills and cultivated olive groves branch off the main road. The trails are ideal for cyclists, but also for hikers who love challenges and want to explore the magical nature of Pašman. If you go for a walk towards the hill Ćokovac above Tkon, you will reach the Monastery of St. Cosmas and Damian. It is the last active Benedictine monastery in Croatia and a famous center of the early Croatian Glagolitic alphabet. The monastery houses a valuable Gothic wooden crucifix from the beginning of the 15th century. Picturesque Tkon is a fishing village, which means that the fish on your plate will always be fresh and delicious. The southern part of the island hides numerous bays and unexplored hidden beaches and is a paradise for all those who want peace and privacy in an oasis of pristine nature. The island of Pašman is connected to the mainland by the ferry lines Zadar-Preko and Biograd na Moru-Tkon.
