Apartment "Marisa Hvar: Important info about the apartment some recommendations: ELECTRIC WATER HEATER Once you enter the apartment, you’ll see three switches next to the bathroom door. The middle one is a water heater switch and you should turn it ON so you’ll have hot water available during your stay. It is recommended to turn it off while in the actual shower just to be on the safe side but since we had no prior trouble with the electric circuit that is entirely up to you. Wi fi network name: EON_CE98 ; Wi fi password: R26cyfFd The network name and password are also written on a paper attached to the refrigerator. BINS BIN card is also on the fridge. You just need to scan this card once you approach the bins for mixed organic waste in town of Hvar. The mixed waste containers are located not far from the apartment, on the way to the town center and main square, close to the entrance of KONZUM , the largest supermarket in Hvar. You can leave paper, plastic and glass in the assigned bins in the apartment. (balcony) AIR CONDITION Please MONITOR THE LEVEL OF WATER that goes from the AC to the bucket on the balcony. Once the bucket is full, please empty it so the water does not spill over the balcony to our neighbors’ place. TV SET There are two remote controllers. One for TV and the other for receiver. HOUSE RULES There are different families living in this house. The chief of Hvar emergency service lives just on the floor below. I am sure you can imagine how demanding his job is, especially during summer, so please be respectful and considerate. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Bus station is located just a few minutes from the apartment on the way to town center. The busses can take you to and from the ferry port in Starigrad and to some other places on the island that you might want to visit during your stay. GROCERY STORES, BARS, RESTAURANTS, VISITOR INFO Except for the aforementioned “Konzum” supermarket there is also a bakery and outdoor market just around the corner. You can’t really miss it on your way to town center. There are smaller grocery stores around town as well. The pharmacy and the Hvar Tourist Board are located on the main town square (Piazza). RECOMMENDATIONS (MY FAVORITE PLACES) Restaurant “KONOBA ALVIŽ” – a very nice place very close to the apartment. (opens 6 pm) Restaurant "KALUMA" (PJACA) Restaurant “MIZAROLA” , a little stroll from the apartment. Worth checking out! Beach bar and kitchen “FALKO” , it takes about half an hour on foot easy walk to get there but this one is highly recommended! Turn right once you get to the bottom of the town square and stick to the sea promenade. Beach “POKONJI DOL” , about 35 minute walk but turn left once you see the sea and stick to the waterfront on that side. It is by far the nicest beach in Hvar with two restaurants across. ("MUSTAČO" and pizzeria restaurant) “TERACA BAR” – just climb the stairs on the bottom of the main square to get to the terrace above the Pjaca. Very nice view, interior & music. Once you are on the terrace you can also enter “ARSENAL” , one of two oldest public theaters in Europe. “VENERANDA” : check their schedule and enjoy movies, concerts or various different events held at this old fortress. “FRANCISCAN MONASTERY” :beautifully located monastery where concerts and theatre shows are held as well. Gallery “HVAROOM” : look for a colorful window on the main square and search for the entrance in the tiny street behind. Gallery: “Made in Hvar” “PAKLINSKI ISLANDS” :book a taxi boat to take you to Mlini or Ždrilca bay. I recommend Mlini beach and "Mamato bar" !
