Villa Pomona is completely tranquil & charming and ideally located for your summer vacation in Croatia. Within our luscious gardens you will enjoy ample shade, a summer kitchen with a traditional brick oven/grill. This outdoor entertainment and cooking area includes a billiards table, darts, and large flat screen TV, and can be closed by large glass sliding doors in case of rain or cold. At the end of your private garden, beyond the infinity pool and sundecks, you will find pebble beach with the clearest & cleanest sea! Children will surely be delighted with the playground, which has a slide, swings and other amusements. After relaxing at Villa Pomona with locally sourced prosciutto, cheeses, wine & olive oil, you can start looking for things to do in the surrounding area. There are a whole range of activities, such as an excursion to Kornati National Park, a jeep Safari through the Velebit mountains, hiking, cycling, and many water sports. You can also step into the rich history & Dalmatian culture of the nearby city, Zadar. We will happily make restaurant reservations, organize sightseeing tours, provide water sport equipment, book sailing trips, and arrange airport transfers. Need a private trainer? Yoga instructor? Masseuse? Just ask! Also, if you are interested in private catering and/or event coordination, we will gladly make the arrangements.

Why visit Posedarje?

Posedarje is located on the coast of the Novigrad Sea, only 23 kilometers away from the large tourist center of Zadar. This settlement has a rich history and tradition, which has been proudly preserved by its inhabitants. Nature has endowed this area with a miraculous beauty, so visitors to Posedarje can enjoy the wild beauty of the nearby canyons of Velika and Mala Paklenica, visit the idyllic atmosphere of the Plitvice Lakes or the magnificent waterfalls of the river Krka. A visit to the Zrmanja canyon, where you can try river rafting, is definitely something you should not miss. Numerous hiking and cycling trails are a real challenge for all those who enjoy an active holiday. You can laze on the beautiful beaches of Posedarje and enjoy a dip in the clear sea. There is a pebble beach right in the center. Near the picturesque little Church of the Holy Ghost is also a sandy beach that is perfect for families with children. Comfortable accommodation can be found in one of the many apartments, villas and holiday homes. The hardworking locals grow their own fruits and vegetables that they will happily offer you. In Posedarje, be sure to try the autochthonous delicacy Posedarje prosciutto. The specialty of this prosciutto lies precisely in the geographical position of Posedarje. Namely, it is here that the strong north wind bora blows with an incredible force and thus dries the prosciutto with the additional flavors deriving from sea salt and the aromatic scents of medicinal herbs from the Velebit mountain. This combination of the gifts of nature, along with traditional recipes and skillful locals, produces one of the best Croatian prosciuttos, which you simply have to taste.
