Privlaka is located on a peninsula near the city of Zadar and the royal town of Nin. The clean blue sea and its exotic sandy beaches make Privlaka a real little paradise for a quiet family vacation. The rich history of nearby Nin extends to Privlaka, where you can see numerous sacral monuments, such as the remains of St. Catherine’s Church and the 14th-century Church of St. Vitus. According to legend, the local brides would bring a cake and apples to the well the morning after the wedding, and the belief is that the apple, which is thrown into one of the Privlaka wells, would reach the seashore sooner than the one who threw it. Also many other legends of the area are just waiting to be discovered, such as the one about the fairies Prislavka and Primorka and the unfortunate Sokolar. Privlaka is an ideal destination from where it is easy to make day trips to the beautiful Plitvice Lakes, the waterfalls of the river Krka, Paklenica and Kornati.
