Vransko Lake Nature Park is the biggest natural lake in Croatia and an ornithological reserve. The park covers a region of 57 square kilometres, of which 30 square kilometres is a fresh water lake. Over 100,000 water birds come here to spend the winter, and there are a few endangered species of bird in the population. Of course the Vransko lake is not only attractive to bird lovers, but also for fishermen and a large number of people who make outings. The main entrance to the Vransko Lake Nature Park is in the village of Pakoštane.
