Kali, island Ugljan, Zadar archipelago

Known as the village of famous fishermen and seamen, Kali is the place where you can feel the authentic atmosphere of Dalmatia. The old part of the village was founded around the Church of St. Lawrence, the patron saint of Kali. Narrow paved streets, which are lined with densely built stone houses, and a port full of fishing boats give Kali its unique charm. The famed fishermen festival takes place in Kali every year in mid-summer during full moon nights. The festival lasts two or three days and has a rich program: rowing competitions, competitions in cooking seafood stew, demonstration of fishermen skills and live music concerts. The main attraction of this traditional event is the parade of fishing boats through the Zadar channel. Visitors and guests can taste Dalmatian food, especially fish specialties and enjoy some traditional costumes and crafts. Not only the gastronomic offer of fresh fish in Kali, but also the hospitality of its inhabitants, the stunning landscape, hidden bays and coves and beautiful beaches will turn your holiday here into a unique experience.
