Sutomišćica, island Ugljan

Sutomišćica is located in a protected bay on the east coast of island Ugljan. It is connected to the city of Zadar by boat that leaves from the port of Preko, which is 2km away. The village is dominated by the 17th-century Baroque summer residence Lantana and its spacious park. The Church of St. Gregory dates back to the 14th century. There is also the early Christian Church of St. Euphemia, who is also the patron saint of the place. Southwest of the village, the road leads to the nearby hill Vela Glava, from where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Zadar and the playful Zadar archipelago. The best way to see the entire island of Ugljan is by riding a bicycle along the numerous well-maintained paths that lead through centuries-old olive groves and cultivated fields. The coast of Ugljan is adorned with beautiful sandy and pebble beaches with crystal clear sea, which are ideal for a pleasant family vacation. Look for comfortable accommodation in apartments and holiday homes and head to the island of Ugljan and Sutomišćica.
