Island Krapanj, Šibenik Archipelago

The island of Krapanj that is located near Šibenik is the smallest inhabited island in the Adriatic. The small village on the island is a real little holiday paradise with its stone houses and narrow alleys that reflect typical Dalmatian architecture, but also with a variety of modern apartments and villas that offer comfortable accommodation. Its shores are bathed in crystal clear sea and the air is intoxicated by the scents of Mediterranean herbs that relax all senses. The island of Krapanj nurtures a centuries-old tradition of sponge diving, fishing and deep sea diving. While here, visit the local Museum Spongiola, where sponge and diving collections are exhibited. Head to the Holy Cross monastery or the oil mill of St. Lawrence to learn about life in this small place in the past.
