The island of Olib, Zadar archipelago

Another beautiful island in northern Dalmatia is the island of Olib, which lies east of Silba. It has merely around 700 inhabitants and only one settlement. The history of the island dates back to Roman times. The 16th century tower Kaštel is located at the entrance of the port of Olib. The island of Olib is perfect for a peaceful and intimate holiday, where everyone will find the perfect place for themselves – from rocky cliffs to sandy beaches and shallow bays such as Slatine on the island’s eastern side. A daily ferry line connects Olib with Zadar and Mali Lošinj. As there are no hotels on the island, accommodation is available in private houses and apartments.
