Trsteno, Dubrovnik Riviera

Trsteno is a small seaside village located in the Dubrovnik Littoral. It is characterized by an extremely lush vegetation and visitors can enjoy a wide range of flora here, from exotic palms, agaves and cacti to indigenous olives, figs and carob. As it is blessed with heavenly beauty, many impressive manor houses with landscaped parks have been built here since ancient times. During the Renaissance, Ivan Marinov Gučetić-Gozze erected on his property in Trsteno a summer house with a park, which became the center of the humanistic cultural life of Dubrovnik at that time. Its park is a typical Renaissance garden and is considered to be older than many of its famous Italian and French Renaissance counterparts. The manor and park are part of the most famous attraction in this area – the Trsteno Arboretum. The arboretum is a unique example of garden architecture and the only one of its kind on the Croatian coast. Neptune's Fountain, the park from the end of the 19th century and a complex of stone staircases leading to vistas and terraces with a beautiful view of the sea and the Elaphite Islands are the famous landmarks of the Arboretum.

Trsteno offers a wide range of high quality accommodation in holiday homes, villas and apartments. Apart from the intoxicating scents of lush vegetation and historical sights, visitors will certainly also enjoy the crystal clear sea and all the benefits of the Mediterranean climate.
