Valun, island Cres

Located in the Valun Bay, south of town Cres, lies the small fishing village Valun. The locals of Valun are particularly proud of the Church of St. Mark as it preserves the famous Valun Table from the 11th century, which is one of the oldest inscriptions in the early Croatian Glagolitic alphabet. Harmonious houses, narrow streets and alleys are a typical example of urban architecture of coastal island settlements. Valun is located between two beautiful pebble beaches, so it is ideal for relaxing and enjoying pure Mediterranean ambience. Valun is also perfect for trying and enjoying delicious fresh fish and shellfish that is flavoured with aromatic Mediterranean spices and premium olive oil. Find accommodation in one of the holiday houses and apartments and discover the charms of life on this island.
