The town of Mali Lošinj, Island Lošinj

Thanks to its unique location, Mali Lošinj is not only one of the most beautiful, but also one of the best natural harbours in the Adriatic. In 1997, the statue was found by a Belgian tourist at a depth of 45 meters. The sailing ship that is anchored in front of the museum was restored to resemble a lugger ship from the end of the 19th century. It presents in a unique way the rich maritime tradition of Lošinj.

From Mali Lošinj you can take the educational trail Apsyrtides to the theme viewpoint Providenca that will reward you with a magnificent view of the sea with the islands of the Lošinj archipelago scattered as dots in the blue waters. Beautiful historic summer houses hide in a fragrant pine forest a little outside the centre on the Čikat peninsula and silently talk about the beauty of enjoyment. In the Čikat bay at a depth of 5 to 15 meters, there is an underwater historical park with replicas of Venetian cannons and ancient amphorae, as well as a replica of the ancient bronze statue of Apoxyomenos. The underwater park can be visited under the guidance of licensed divers and in the company of a diving instructor.

The gentle coast of Lošinj reveals magical beaches and bays that line both sides of the island: Uvala Engleza, Srebrna uvala, Artatore, Bojčić, Borik, Pileski, Poljana, Kadin and many others that make it difficult to decide which one of them to visit.
