Island Susak

Susak is a small island located west of island Lošinj and connected to Mali Lošinj and the city of Rijeka by boat lines. It was formed in ancient times in a very interesting way, namely by the deposition of sand on the limestone plate. The island is characteristic for having almost no tall vegetation, but only reeds as the predominant plant species, which is not very common for Mediterranean islands.
