Sveti Grgur island

Island Sveti Grgur, Lopar, Island Rab

The island of Sveti Grgur or St. George is the northernmost evergreen Adriatic island. It is uninhabited and located between the islands of Rab, Prvić and Goli otok, with Lopar on the island of Rab being closest to it. Hence, the locals of Lopar have used Sveti Grgur as pasture land for their sheep since ancient times. Today, the island is also a hunting ground for fallow deer. The unspoilt bays of Sveti Grgur are very popular among boaters, but also a perfect destination for a day trip for interested tourists from the nearby island of Rab.
