Another tourist destination in the Dubrovnik Littoral is Slano not far from Trsteno. This small village has a rich history despite its size, which can be seen in the Franciscan monastery that houses several early Christian sarcophagi, but also in the surrounding area where interesting early Christian sites can be explored. There are two 5-star hotels in Slano as well as a small sheltered port where luxury yachts regularly anchor in the summer time.
