A former fishermen's village Medulin, is now one of the most famous tourist destinations in Istria with all types of accommodation. It has a diversified coast with numerous bays and excellent beaches. The best known beach in Medulin is Bijeca, one kilometer long sandy beach especially appropriate for kids, who can also enjoy the big aqua park.
Not far from Medulin is Premantura, a place with crystal clear sea and rocky and gravel beaches. Numerous camps and excellent conditions for windsurfing are reason to come here. And the southernmost point of Istria is Cape Kamenjak, a favorite excursion site due to preserved nature and great leisure conditions, especially cycling and walking. It is a nature reserve with a large number of plant and endemic species.
