Krupa Monastery

In the vicinity of the source of the Krupa river, the largest tributary of the Zrmanja river, lies the Krupa Monastery. Fairytale landscapes, playful river rapids, endless green meadows and streams with centuries-old poplar trees and cypresses are the ideal place for a family vacation and a trip to nature that you will always remember. For lovers of active holidays there are cycling, hiking and mountain trails. The village is dominated by the monastery and a church dedicated to the Assumption of Our Lady. The Krupa Monastery and the church were built at the turn of the 14th century. In the premises of the monastery, you can see the permanent exhibition of the collection of monastic art works. In its immediate vicinity is the romantic Kuda bridge, which is definitely worth a visit. At the end of a perfect day, try the autochthonous lamb dishes in one of the surrounding rural farms and experience all the beauty of Zadar’s magical hinterland.
